It Is Official.....

We have a crawler!!! Evan is crawling and it is so cute! He always heads straight for Hunter and Hunter's toys. Hunter is not too excited about this and is not very happy about having to share his toys. But, alas, this too shall pass and they will become buddies. I am shocked that he is crawling at such a young age. He is just over 7 months. This spells trouble in my mind - early walker coming our way!

Babbling.

Evan has officially started to babble! He started with the "ba ba ba" sounds today and is constantly doing it and looks right at you as he "talks". It is like he has a lot to say and wants you to listen to each and every word of it! My baby boy is growing up! I love it! Let the baby talk begin! Hunter should get a kick out of it.

Baking Cookies!

We spent the day at my mom's house yesterday and Hunter loved every minute of it! Evan slept for a good part of it and I just enjoyed a little down time. While we were there Hunter was able to bake some cookies with his MeeMaw and had a great time! He loved stirring the ingredients in the bowl even though quite a bit of them ended up on the counter, floor and his clothes! It was pretty cute! His favorite part was eating the cookies shortly after they came out of the oven. My mom has always said there is just something extra yummy about a warm cookie! She must be right because Hunter could not get enough of them!

Sweet Evan and His Nana.

Evan got to spend the afternoon with his Nana Kay yesterday while we were out with Hunter. Nana Kay told us they had such a good time and that Evan was such a happy boy! When we got home Evan was fast asleep on Nana's lap. It was simply adorable! Thanks again Nana Kay!!!

Jungle Java Adventures!

We were able to spend the afternoon with just Hunter yesterday and we decided to take him to Jungle Java. (Thanks Nana Kay for watching Evan!) The boy loved it and is addicted to it now! He has asked at least 4 times to go back today! This place is HUGE and is Funtastic on steroids! There is so much to do that you completely lose track of time. We were there for 2 hours and it flew by and we had so much fun! I cannot wait for Hunter and Evan to both be able to enjoy it together!

Check Ups for the Boys.

We took both boys in for their check ups today. Hunter is 40 inches tall already and 36 pounds - tall and skinny! He was not happy at all to be at the doctor's office but he survived. He goes back in June to get 2 shots so that both boys get the MMR and Chicken Pox vaccines at the same time (2nd doses for Hunter and first for Evan). The doctor was very impressed that he knew all his colors, can count, knows his first and last name, his shapes, etc. Great check up for him! Evan checked out pretty good too. He was supposed to get his shots today but they were put off for another week since his throat is still red and sore. Ugggg...back to the doc next Friday. He is just about 18 pounds and almost 28 inches. He is long and skinny too! He is also about ready to pop two more teeth. That will bring him to 4 teeth total so far. Come on teeth!!! Hopefully he will have put on a little more weight by next Friday since he did not gain any since late December - thank you Strep Throat and the Flu. Needless to say, this has been a rough cold/flu season for us. However, both boys seem to be growing just fine despite the illnesses.

Hello 2010 and the 2010 Flu!

Evan and I rang in the new year with the 2010 Flu. We both came down with it on the 3rd and it moved very fast and was gone within 24 hours. The only silver lining that came with the flu other than it moving fast was that Christian and Hunter never got it!!! I guess getting the flu is one way to lose that excess holiday weight!

One other exciting thing going on over here is that Christian has decided that he is giving up smoking!!! I am so proud of him for taking on this challenge! He is going to be so happy once he kicks that habit! He can do it, I know he can. His entire family is behind him each and every step of the way!
