Off to the Races!!!

The boat races, that is! We took the boys to Roar on the River this past weekend and watched some great boat races and Jet Ski shows. All of us had a great time! Hunter was in heaven watching all the boats go super fast! He was glued to the race for the entire 20 minutes! I was amazed! He even called the winner - the yellow boat. Go Hunter! After the boat race the jet ski show started and Hunter enjoyed it just as much as the boat race. After the race and show we headed back up the hill and Hunter got a free yellow t-shirt that featured the boat races! He loves his new shirt with the super fast boat on it! Too bad it is too big but he will grow in to it. Rather it be too big than too small. We will be heading back to the Roar on the River next year. So much fun!!!

Uncle Sam Jam!

Hunter recently went to his first carnival. Yes, Evan went along too. However, Evan was not big enough to ride anything but Hunter was and he was pretty happy about it too! He rode a car ride and had a blast! As a matter of fact, he rode it several times in a row and could not stop talking about it. Cute! He even went down a Super Slide with his Dad and thought that was pretty cool too. That ride was taken over and over again too. We headed back to the carnival with two of his cousins and all three of them had fun! Next summer Evan should be able to ride on some of the rides and both boys will have fun!

Domino's Farms.

Not only did we visit Greenfield Village but we also took both boys to Domino's Farms. We all had a great time! We saw all kinds of animals and even got to pet some baby bunnies. This was one of Hunter's favorite parts! Evan and I also went on a hay ride. Hunter had no interest. He had more fun visiting all the animals with his Dad. We will certainly be going back! Perhaps around Christmas time. I have heard they have some really cool Christmas lights displayed. We shall wait and see.

Greenfield Village.

We took Hunter to Greenfield Village a couple weeks ago for the very first time and he loved it! Evan hung out with MeeMaw since this was a special trip for Hunter and us. Plus, it was way too hot outside for the little man. Hunter had so much fun having his Mommy and Daddy all to himself! He was thrilled seeing all the different machines and old houses! He was so excited to see all the Model T's driving around the village along with the old buses and horse drawn buggies. One of his favorite parts was the train. He could have watched it all day! It was great to see him having so much fun! Thank goodness we took the stroller with us. Hunter was pretty tired after all the walking and running he did. Next year we will have both boys with us when we visit the Village and Hunter can teach his brother all about the machines and cars that are there! Cannot wait!!!

Bug Hunting!

Hunter LOVES bugs!!! Typical boy! His MeeMaw got him a bug box and he goes bug hunting practically every day now. He turns over bricks, pieces of wood, flower pots, etc to see what kind of bugs are hiding for him. He has no fear, except for spiders. He will not catch those! Smart kid! Once he gets bugs in his bug box he carries it with him and shows them off to just about everyone. Really cute! I cannot wait until next summer when Evan can join in on the hunt!

Getting Ready!

Hunter and I ran to Meijer last night to grab a couple things that we needed for cleaning. On the way out we passed the back to school section. Yup, I know it is only July. We decided it was the perfect time to get his first backpack for school. He picked out a "Cars" backpack. No surprise there! He is thrilled with it and loves to wear it! I explained it was for him to carry things to and from Preschool this Fall. He told me it was to carry his cars! That is Hunter! He loves his cars! I still cannot believe that he is starting Preschool this Fall. He is growing up!

First Big Boo Boo.

Evan had his first big boo boo yesterday. He fell outside on the steps and put his teeth right through his tongue. Ouch! Poor kiddo screamed for a bit after that happened. Luckily he did not need to go to the ER and get stitches. His little tongue is all black and blue. It should heal quickly. Our little man is having a hard time catching a break lately.
