What Toddlers Do.....

This is what toddlers do when they are bored or left unattended. They decide to feed the dog while he is resting in his crate! Hunter thought it would be a great idea to shovel all of Trypp's food into his crate to save him the trouble of walking to his bowl to eat. While the idea was nice it was a bit of a mess to clean up! Ahhhhh, the joys of toddlers!!!

Great Appt!

Evan got a clean bill of health today!!! His ear infection is completely gone as well as his cold and sore throat. This makes me very happy!!! So, since he was healthy he got his 4 month shots which made him unhappy for about 10 seconds and then he was smiling again! This kid is always happy! Perhaps this is God's way of making up for how unhappy Hunter was! Evan is tipping the scales at 15 lbs 11 oz and is 26 inches long! He is in the 75-90%!!! Another big boy on our hands! He goes back to the pedi on December 28th. Hopefully we can avoid the office until then since we have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I am done with doctors until December!!!!

Beautiful Fall Colors!

The other day I took an opportunity to head over to Elizabeth Park and take some pictures of the amazing colors. Wow, there were so many beautiful colors - the park was alive with reds, oranges, yellows and golds! It was incredible! The weather was perfect for Fall. I know that Winter is right around the corner and it will steal Fall away but for now I am loving every minute of it! Afterall, this is my favorite season!

The Boys.

The boys are already becoming buddies! Hunter constantly asks to hold Evan and loves every minute of it! He is even beginning to take more of an interest in playing with Evan. He helps Evan roll over when he gets frustated, he wipes the spit up off of his chin, he even bring Evan stuffed animals to hold on to and look at. Evan seems to really like Hunter's company too. He is always watching him running around and smiles at him all the time! It really is nice to seem them bonding as brothers. I cannot wait for the day when they are running around playing with each other! Great times are in our future!!!

Evan Update.

I headed back into the pedi office again today with Evan. He was not getting better with the antibiotic. In fact, he appeared to be getting worse. He began to scream during his bottle time and he would shake too. He has always been a wonderfully happy baby and this was not like him at all. So, we went back in for a recheck to see what was going on. It turns out that his ear infection is completely gone so the antibiotics worked on that issue. However, his throat was much redder and now has blisters. Poor guy. I feel awful for him. The doctor assured me that within the next day or two his throat should be better and his eating should pick back up. I sure hope so. It is so pitiful to watch because he is so hungry and it must really hurt to swallow. On a different note, Evan gained almost a pound since Friday!!! It is almost 15 1/2 pounds now!!! That is great!!! So, we return to the pedi office next Friday for a follow-up and hopefully his 4 month boosters. Fingers crossed for now.

Sweet Evan.

Yesterday I took Evan to see the pedi because the corner of his eye was pretty red. That turned out to be just allergies and nothing to worry about at this point in time. He may need allergy meds in the future and that is not a big deal at all. I decided while I was there to get his well exam done too so that we could avoid another trip in two weeks. Well, it turns out that we will be heading back in two weeks for a recheck and his shots. It was discovered that sweet Evan has a cold, a red throat and an ear infection. Wow, we had no idea! The pedi was also surprised because the entire time she was looking him over he was smiling and cooing away at her! He is so happy and never really fusses unless he is tired or hungry. Honestly, this little boy is amazing!!! He is 100% opposite his brother. Evan never showed any signs of being sick, no fever, no ear pulling, no coughing, no nothing. So, I am glad I took him in for his eye and found out about the other issues. He is now on antibiotics to clear up his ear infection and we will get it rechecked in two weeks. As long as it is gone he will get his shots. As far as his stats go, he is growing like a weed! He is just shy of 15 pounds and is almost 26 inches long!!! Grow E-Man Grow!!!

Airplane Adventure!

Last night we we forunate enough to be able to go into a hanger at Metro Airport with some great friends. We started the evening out with dinner and wonderful conversation with Rick and Stacy and their son Wally. Well, us adults talked while Wally and Hunter played and Evan chilled out on the floor. It was lots of fun! After dinner we headed to Rick's work to show the kids the airplanes. Wow! That about sums it up! We were all amazed! Hunter was a bit overwhelmed at first but took to the idea of going on the airplane and into the cockpit pretty quick! He loved it! Not only did he get to explore the plane but he also got a kick out of sitting on the Tug and pretending to drive it. Or, in Hunter's world the Tug was a tractor! My kid loves tractors for some reason, not sure why yet. It was incredible to see the awe and amazement on Hunter's face as well as Christian's. I cannot wait to go back into the hanger and see a different plane and to let Hunter explore some more with his buddy Wally.
