Picture Post

I thought I would post some new pictures of Hunter since it has been a while. So, here ya go! Enjoy!

Having fun at MeeMaw's! Hunter loves to play in MeeMaw's backyard since it is so big! He has a ton of room to run around!

Playing with matchbox cars in the courtyard at home. Hunter and Christian were having fun burying cars in the sand. Hunter thought this was really cool!
Hunter loves to help his Daddy! Here he is helping his Daddy do some yard work. While Christian was cleaning out the gardens Hunter was busy cleaning up the lawn. It was really cute to watch.

The toilet is not....

My lovely son has discovered the toilet as a new toy. For some reason he loves to play in the water. It must be a boy thing. He takes his bath toys and away he goes! The boats and fish dive right in. Yuck! I would just like him to know that the toilet is not a bath tub, a fish tank, a boat yard or a place to wash your hands. Come on kid, I know I keep the bathrooms and toilets clean but that is still gross!!! Oh, the things he is going to teach his little brother.

32 Week Check Up

We had our 32 week check up today and everything looks great! The baby has dropped and it is much more comfortable for me now. I can breathe again and I have no more heartburn!!! Small Fry is doing great and is still head down. My OB taught me some really neat stretches to help with my sciatic nerve pain. So, next time it acts up I should be able to fix it. I also discovered that I lost a pound in the last two weeks. So, my total weight gain for this pregnancy is only 19 pounds. This makes me really happy! Overall everything is great and we go back for another visit on May 8th.

On a different note we have BEAUTIFUL weather here today!!! It is in the upper 70s with a nice breeze. So, with that said, Hunter and I are on our way outside to play and go for a walk. We hope you are all having a wonderful day too!

Holy Shoes!

Hunter has been pointing to his feet and say "ouch" for the last day or two so I decided to take him to get his feet measured. I sure am glad I did. His old shoes were a bit too small. He is now in a 9 1/2 double wide!!! My kid has BIG feet! He is thrilled with his new shoes! They light up and everything! They have really neat robots on the sides with red lights that flash as he walks! They also have a little button that he can push to turn on the lights. Pretty cool! They were no more expensive than boring old tie up shoes either so that was an added bonus. Plus, I had a coupon for $5 dollars off too! So, Hunter really made out today.

31 Weeks!!!

Today marks 31 weeks for this pregnancy! I feel pretty good except for the fact that I think I may be getting a cold. Hunter is down with another cold/cough. Poor kid. MeeMaw stayed with him yesterday and Hunter had a great time while Christian and I went to the funeral home to pay our respects to my Great Uncle Leo. Our second little boy has dropped. I am now carrying him much lower and this makes me really happy because the horrible heartburn has gone away! But, now the little guy is sitting directly on my bladder and it makes me feel like I have to use the bathroom every half hour or so. Oh well, at least the heartburn is gone and I can breathe easier again! Since he will be arriving soon I have decided today is the perfect day to put his room together. I plan on moving around the furniture and placing his clothes in his dresser and doing a little decorating too. This is so exciting! I cannot wait to see what it looks like once I am done! I will have to post some pictures of is for sure! Once Nicole, our friend from Texas, is able to complete her cross-stitch we will hang that on his wall and then his room will be finished. Nicole made a wall hanging for Hunter too. It has his birthdate and name on it. However, since we do not have a birthdate yet that part will need to wait for now. Those pictures will need to wait too. Wow, not long from now and we will have two sons!

Oh No! It is way too early!!!

My son knows the sound of the icecream man and he just heard it! Isn't it a bit too early? He heard the lovely music the truck plays and instantly ran to the door saying "Mmmmmm"! I don't understand how he knows what it is. He has never had anything off the truck! He is not even a huge fan of icecream, strange I know. So, here we go. The icecream truck season is upon us. The irritating thing is this truck does not come by just once or twice a day. It is usually THREE times a day!!!

Hunter's Day of Fun!

Today was a special day for Hunter and for us too. Christian took the day off of work and we headed out to the Ann Arbor Hands on Museum this morning. Hunter LOVED it! We all had such a good time! We will certainly be going back there for sure! There was so much to do and so much to see and explore. As soon as we walked in the door Hunter was off to have fun. Christian was right behind him as I took care of the admission fee. Hunter had a blast playing with the water tables and trains. The preschool room kept his attention too. I was amazed at how involved he was with just about everything. He is growing up right before my eyes. After the museum we stopped to get a special lunch at McDonalds. We do not eat there often so he really enjoyed it. He sat at the booth like a big boy without a booster. Again, he is growing up right before my eyes. After lunch he passed out in the truck and then slept for another hour once we got home. After he woke up we walked over to our neighborhood park and played for a bit and then ran around the neighborhood. Then we headed to Wyandotte to play at Bishop Park and to chase the birds down by the river. Hunter had a great time! It was wonderful to see him so happy and carefree. He was running every which way he could - it was a sight to see! So, we are home now and getting ready for dinner. Hunter is currently playing with his matchbox cars and his Daddy. What a day! It was all about Hunter and we all had a great time! I can't wait for another day just like today!

April Showers

It has been raining all day and I guess that is a good thing. It is certainly better than snow! My gardens are benefiting from all this rain. My lilacs are beginning to bud and my tulips are growing taller too! My roses are even showing signs of life! I love when my gardens begin to come back to life! It is such a welcoming sign of warmer weather on the way. Ahhhhh, the lovely sights of Spring!!!

Happy Easter!

We want to wish everyone a very HAPPY EASTER! We hope you are all able to get out and enjoy this beautiful day! We are heading to Hunter's Great Grandma's house to celebrate Easter with my family. It should be lots of fun!
Hunter loved his basket full of goodies this morning! His favorite part was the Matchbox Cars. He has recently gotten into kissing just about everything so before he would hand Christian a piece of candy he would kiss it first - priceless!
So far our Easter has been just about perfect! We hope your day ends up being the same.

Let the 2 wk appts begin!

Today was my last 4 week OB appt and I now start to see my doctor every 2 weeks. Scary that we are so close already. Where on earth did the time go? I feel like I just got a positive pregnancy test a week ago and here I am 30 weeks pregnant this Sunday! WOW!!! So, at today's appt not much went on. I had another ultrasound and Small Fry is head down but not engaged at all. This is better than where we were at with Hunter. Hunter was breech at this point. The baby is doing great and his heart rate is in the upper 140s. My OB seems to think he will be a little bigger than Hunter was but not by much at all. That was music to my ears - I do not want a HUGE baby! I also got the results of my bloodwork and I passed my GTT without any problems and the rest of my bloodwork looks great. The only issue is I am close to being anemic again but not nearly as bad as I was with Hunter. I do not need to take any supplements yet. We will see how I feel in a few weeks though. So, overall, I checked out great and so did the baby. Woo Hoo for another great appt!!! I go back for my next visit on April 24th and I will update more then unless something exciting happens with the baby first. Until then Small Fry will continue to bake!

My house is being overtaken!

My poor house is being overtaken by matchbox cars! They are everywhere! I have found them in my shoes, slippers, purse, coat pocket, on the back of the toilet, under the table, under the couch, in Hunter's bedroom, in our bedroom, in our office, on the kitchen counters and floors and I could still go on and on! They are even in my truck! My goodness, this little boy has lots of matchbox cars and he puts them anywhere and everywhere! In order for me to vacuum every week I need to get on my hands and knees first to pick up cars. That goes for sweeping the floors too! Of course, Hunter helps me unless he is napping or is on an errand with Christian. He really is a good boy when it comes to cleaning up his toys. Thank goodness for that. It sure helps when cars are scattered all over the house!

The Weatherman Was Right.

It was not a lie. It snowed and it is still snowing. It is smart this time. It is mainly sticking to the grassy surfaces now. Thank goodness it will be 50 on Thursday and this white stuff will be gone!

Daddy's Boy

The first picture is of Hunter trying to occupy the same space as his Daddy while Christian was working on the kitchen ceiling. It really was cute to see him so interested in what his Daddy was doing. The second picture was taken up at Marius and Erin's house. We went to visit for a bit on Saturday and Hunter had a blast playing with his Aunt, Uncle and baby cousin. He doesn't look too happy in the picture but that was because we were interrupting his time with Ryan to get him to pose for a picture. Note to self, do not attempt to make a toddler pose for a picture, it usually does not end up well! After the picture was taken Hunter went back to being entertained by Ryan. I cannot wait to see Hunter with his little brother this June! Hunter is certainly a Daddy's Boy through and through!

You've got to be kidding me.

Seriously, another snowstorm?!?!? Isn't it April? I was just watching the weather channel and we have been issued a winter storm warning! I thought it was Spring outside and not Winter. What is going on? My poor kid is not going to like being cooped up all day tomorrow and neither will I. We have been lucky enough to get outside the last few days and we all LOVED it and now we are looking at a winter storm. Good grief, when will Winter call it quits? I will post pictures if we actually get hit and if we don't I will certainly be doing the happy dance. I am glad that I did not move the snowblower and lawnmower around!

Human Pin Cushion!

I am glad that is over! This morning I went in for my GTT and Rhogma Injection. I literally felt like a human pin cushion! I had my blood taken twice - once before drinking the lovely glucola drink for typing and once after for my GTT. After that I was sent up to the maternity floor for my Rhogam Injection. So, now both of my arms are a little on the sore side. How on earth am I going to pick up my 32 pound son? I am sure I will feel better tomorrow. Right now the baby is all over the place from all the sugar I have ingested - I feel like I am on a HUGE sugar high! At least I have checked another thing off of the "to do" list in order to get ready for the arrival of our next son. Next item, OB visit on the 9th. I will check in about the baby after that appt.
