Still Alive!

Yup, we are all still alive - just really busy!!! Both boys pack my days more than I ever expected them to. Wow, talk about busy!!! Hunter is still being a great big brother and Evan, well, let's just say that Evan is a 7 week old baby boy. That is all I have to say about that for now. He is well and makes me smile each and every day. But, boy oh boy, he gives me a run for my money!!! So much for a calm and quiet baby. He totally threw that out the window! If we go for a third that baby HAS to be the CALM AND QUIET one, right?!?!?! Wait, did I just mention going for a third? That has to be the sleep deprivation talking! Speaking of sleep deprivation, take a look at Christian in the above picture. Does that scream "I need sleep" or what?!?!?!

Baby Brag!

Wow, Evan is just about 7 weeks old already and he has already reached a few milestones! He smiles quite often and just the other day he began to roll from his belly to his back! We are so proud of our newest little guy! Now, this rolling business could pose a problem for sleeping since he is a belly sleeper. Hmmmmm.....I guess he will need to learn how to roll from his back to his belly soon!

Hunter is doing well too! He is a great big brother and loves Evan so very much! He helps out whenever he can with feeding Evan and getting diapers and such for us. He is quite the little helper and we are very proud of him too. Hunter's language has exploded - in fact, he repeats just about everything that someone says. It is so incredible!

Two of a Kind

Well, Evan is heading down the same food path that Hunter did... It appears that there's a 30-40% chance that Evan will have the same intolerances that Hunter currently is dealing with, and it shows. The poor guy hasn't slept much the last couple weeks, so we're taking the same actions as we did with Hunter, but at least this time we know the path to go down.

Poor Katie hasn't slept much at all, and has been dealing with a not so happy little Evan, on top of Hunter's new infatuation with not sleeping. So if you haven't heard from us much, its because we're all in sleep comas...

Wish us luck!!!

Leaps and Bounds!

Evan had his one month check up today (1 week late). He is growing like a weed! He started life at 7 pounds and 5 oz and he is already up to 10 pounds and 1 1/2 oz!!! WOW!!! He has also grown an inch since birth. He no longer fits in newborn clothes and is on to the 0-3 month sizes. My little baby is getting big! He checked out fine with everything and got round 2 of his Hep B vaccine. He is dealing with a fever and is pretty fussy from the vaccine. Poor kiddo. Other than that, all is well with our second little man! Oh, we have also switched him to Soy formula since he was having some issues with the regular formula and so far so good. Evan goes back to see the pedi on August 17th. Grow Evan Grow!!!

Too old for his own britches!

Well, this is day FIVE of Hunter deciding he does not need a nap. Boy, he is wrong! He gets so incredibly crabby by dinnertime that I want to sell him on Ebay. He needs to understand that he is 2 and he is not old enough to give up his naps. How on earth do you make a 2 year old nap? Any ideas? I am welcome to all and any of them! Fire away!!! At least he sleeps well at night. Now that I have said that I am sure that will change too. Ugggg.......

Total Surprise!

This past Saturday my brothers and I put together an awesome surprise party for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary! We worked on that party for months and it was a total success! My parents were completely surprised!!! It was great! We had about 50-60 people show up at my Grandmother's house out in Williamston and arranged for my parents to come out for a visit and dinner with my brother Matt. The idea worked and they loved the party! I am so happy that we were able to plan something like this for my parents. They truly deserved it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, stress and all! Perhaps for their 50th we will send them on a trip somewhere in Montana. My mom has always wanted to go to Montana. That is an idea.

Such a Big Boy!!!

Hunter is becoming quite the big boy! He is really into holding his brother ALL THE TIME! This is cute but can get a bit annoying when you are trying to get the baby dressed, fed or changed. At least he likes his little brother! That is a blessing. Not only is this a big boy behavior but Hunter has also started to ride his 2 wheeler with training wheels all by himself!!! WOW! What a big boy! He is so proud of himself as he peddles down the sidewalk. My first baby is no longer a baby. He is a big boy now!

Fun on the 4th!

We had a great 4th of July! We hung out at home and ended up doing some sparklers with Hunter to celebrate the 4th. Hunter LOVED the sparklers and really wanted to do them all by himself. Perhaps next year he will be old enough to hold them on his own. Even Evan was awake to get in on the action!

Overall, it was a wonderful holiday and extra special since it was Evan's very first holiday! We hope you all had a nice 4th too.

My Handsome Boys!

Just a few pictures. Christian and I are so very proud of our family!
Up close and personal with Hunter!

Bubbles!

While I was out picking up diapers for Evan the other day some bubble bath caught my eye. Sounds strange, I know. But, Hunter LOVES bubbles and has not really been enjoying bathtime lately. So, I decided to pick some up to see if it would help to make bathtime for fun. I certainly guessed right! Hunter LOVES bubble baths! He has a great time playing with all the bubbles and when his Daddy blows the bubbles all over his face it is even better! So, here is one for Mr. Bubbles for sensitive skin!
