Here we go again.

Poor Hunter is sick again. He started with the flu last night and it is still going strong but with a few added components. I will spare you the details but I am sure if you have an imagination you can figure them out. So, Christian and I have been up all night minus an hour. We are beat. Poor Hunter is beat too. I so wish I could make this magically go away. I hate seeing my little man sick. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I do not get sick and neither does Christian. I have my big ultrasound on Tuesday and I have to be there and then I have an OB appt on Friday that I should not miss and then we have Hunter's birthday party on Saturday that we planned last August. I guess if Hunter had to get the flu this weekend is so much better than his birthday weekend. But, come on, hasn't he been sick enough this season???? Poor kiddo. Next year he is getting a flu shot, we all are. I really do not want to see what it is like to have 2 sick kids. That scares me. Please send some get well and stay well vibes our way, we could certainly use them!

Too Cute!

Not only did Hunter get some new and cool toys to play with but he also figured out that his Daddy's hat is pretty neat too! He put on Christian's hat all by himself and then posed for the camera! Of course, I had to take a few pictures while he was hamming it up for the camera. This is one of the first times he actually wanted his picture taken! I really hope he is in this picture mood when his birthday party arrives!

One happy toddler!!!

Hunter got a special package in the mail today - his first birthday presents for turning TWO!!! It could not have come at a better time. Hunter has been going stir crazy being stuck in the house during the days. We do try and go somewhere every day but sometimes the weather does not allow us to venture out. So, we let him open his presents from Christian's parents early. He is loving his new toys! His favorite was his new set of Scooby Doo Matchbox Cars! He is still playing with them. He will carry them from room to room making vroom noises! It really is a cute sight to see. He could play with his cars for hours but new ones always make playtime even better!

A special thank you to Tim and Betty for making Hunter very happy!!!

Seriously

Seriously, more snow? We are currently getting hit by ANOTHER winter storm. Come on already. I am so sick of the snow. I want to see the green grass and pavement again. This white stuff is really getting on my nerves. We are expecting about 6-7 inches when the storm is done. That is on top of the foot or so that we already have on the ground. Joy, oh joy. And, just when the roads were in good shape. Come on Spring!!!

Nothing Special

Not much is going on here at the moment. Things are pretty calm. Hunter is doing well and has started to sleep better at night now too. We finally figured it out. We needed to move out his dinner time and therefore his bedtime and we got him to sleep in until just after 7!!! This is amazing! It sure beats the 5 am wake up calls! We are also preparing for him to turn TWO!! How did we get to TWO already??? I cannot believe how big he is getting! We will be celebrating his big day on February 7th at Funtastic. We are expecting a good size crowd and the kids should have a blast! The best part is all we need to do is show up. We sit back while Funtastic provides everything! That is great! I will certainly post some pictures after the party. The picture with this post is one of Hunter's newest places to have a good time - Pump It Up! He loves going down the huge inflatable slide. Perhaps this will be where he has his third birthday. Hmmm...

The baby is doing well too. He is kicking stronger and more and more every day. Christian really enjoys being able to feel him now too. We go for our big ultrasound on the 3rd and then it is back to our OB on the 6th. We will update more after our appts. It is hard to believe that I am going on 20 weeks already. This pregnancy is going much faster than Hunter's did and that makes me smile.

So, there you have it. We will post more news as it happens. Have a great day everyone!!!

OMG!

Hunter and I went down into the basement to finish the last load of laundry for the week. We were greeted by a wild squirrel - NOT COOL! This animal decided to run all over my basement with Kuchka on its tail hissing away. Next, I grabbed a broom and went after it. I then decided to call Christian, who was on his way home, to announce what was in the house. He got home and took over with the broom and hopefully chased it out of the house. Now, I am left with SEVEN more loads of laundry since the little flea infested (I'm sure) animal was all over my clean laundry. Uggggg....and I was supposed to go out to dinner with the girls tonight for a much needed night of relaxation. Well, now I am going to be doing laundry instead. I can only hope to get most of it done so that I can still go out. I HATE SQUIRRELS AND I VOW NEVER TO FEED ONE EVER AGAIN!!! The Schoeneman Diner is CLOSED!

I just had to chuckle!

This morning as I was checking my email Hunter walked up to me as he normally does to get my attention. However, this morning he was completely naked! I instantly started laughing! He had removed his PJs and diaper and was very proud of himself! I asked him if he wanted to get dressed and he said yes and led me to his bedroom and proceeded to open his dresser and take out some clothes. My little boy is growing up more and more each day! Now the next challenge will be to get him to keep his PJs on in his crib overnight! That should be fun!

Being sick is no fun.

Being sick is certainly no fun especially when you are pregnant and can take next to nothing to make you feel better! I have been sick since Saturday and today is Tuesday and I am just starting to function normally. We think I was battling a mild case of the flu - YUCK! Thank goodness for Zofran! Hunter was not feeling well just before I got sick so perhaps I caught whatever virus he had. So far Christian has managed to avoid it all! I sure hope it stays that way! I am just glad to be on the mend. Now, if only we could fix the bitter cold temps we have been having lately - that would be great!! How far away is Spring?

Brrrrrr.....

Brrrrrr.....that about sums what the weather here. It got down to -12 without windchill last night. That was the ACTUAL air temperature! With windchill this morning it was -31! Now that is FRIGID!!! There is no way we are even stepping foot outside today. It is just way too cold! To top it off, we are expecting more snow tomorrow, about 5 inches. Come on already, give us a break! I guess the Farmer's Almanac was telling the truth when it said that this January and Febraury are supposed to have the coldest temperatures and the most snow we have seen in a LONG time! So far it is right on.

As Promised....

Here is an ultrasound picture from Friday's appt of our newest addition. If you look closely he is waving - super cute, if you ask me! But, then again, I am his Mom!

The Best News!!!

I had another appt this past Friday with my OB and everything looks great with our little Small Fry. We are right on track for a late June delivery. Everything checked out great with me and our son. Yup, you read right. Small Fry is a BOY!!!! Hunter will have a little brother this June! I am so very happy! I really wanted two boys close in age so that they could be buddies and I am getting just that! Yay for little boys!!! We are all on cloud number 9 right now! Woo Hoo!!!

I promise to post some ultrasound pictures as soon as we get them scanned onto the computer.

So tired of diaper rash.

Ughhhh.....I am so tired of diaper rash on my little guy. He gets awful diaper rash when he is teething and he is working on his VERY LAST TWO TEETH!!! They are taking forever to cut through and it is taking its toll on his little bottom. He was rash free for a week or two and today it came back in full force. I feel so bad for him. He willingly goes with me to change his diaper and then cries because it is so sore and it breaks my heart. Luckily we have wonderful diaper rash cream that takes the sting out almost immediately. I cannot wait for his final teeth to come in so that the rash goes away and stays away! I cannot wait for him to be happy most of the time and enjoy playing at Funtastic again without a sore bottom.

Welcome 2009!

Happy New Year from our family to yours! We hope you all had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year. Hunter woke up at exactly midnight due to the lovely fireworks that were going off. So, he was awake to welcome 2009 as well. Good luck keeping your resolutions if you decided to make any. My main one is to deliver a healthy and happy baby this June and to help Hunter be the best big brother he can be. I have a couple others but this one is the most important to me. Have a great 2009!!!
