Thanksgiving Pics

We had a great time at Nana's for Thanksgiving! Hunter had a blast running around and playing with Julian and the best part was that Julian introduced Hunter to video games - he LOVES them! So, I see a game system in our near future for both Hunter and Christian! Now, we just need to find one on sale - that could be hard considering today was Black Friday and lots of things are already gone. Perhaps a birthday present for Hunter. Evan had his share of fun and cuddling time too. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Christmas Tree Festival Pics

Here are just a few of the pictures that we were able to take while we were at the Festival of Trees this past week. Hunter had a blast with the trains and freaked out when it came to Santa. I still have not had a chance to scan the picture of Evan with Santa but I will soon! Then I will post it for sure!

Santa Phobia

We took the boys to the Festival of Trees yesterday afternoon and it was mostly a great time! Hunter was really excited about seeing all the Christmas trees and of course the trains. This kid still adores trains and not just Thomas but all trains. Well, we got there and he was glued to the trains. He did not even seem to care that there were Christmas trees everywhere! All he wanted to see were the trains. Evan on the other hand was thrilled to be amongst all the trees and lights. His smile was HUGE! He was happy anywhere we went. But, then again, Evan is always happy. Then we decided to get a picture taken with Santa. No line, cheap prices = perfect! Wrong! Hunter freaked out! A full freak out at that! Screaming, kicking, and gasping for air. Poor kid. So, we did not make him sit on Santa's lap. Instead Christian removed him completely while Evan and I stayed to get his picture. It turned out great! I will post one as soon as I get it scanned to the computer. In the meantime Hunter was still flipping out because I was not with him. Really sad. It is safe to say that Hunter has a Santa Phobia! Perhaps next year we will get a picture with both boys and Santa. And if not a mother can always hope for the following year or photo shop will start to be used!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We hope you are all able to spend it with your wonderful family and friends! Enjoy this fun holiday! We will be heading to Nana's house for our turkey dinner and are certainly looking forward to it! This will be Evan's first turkey day and he gets to try sweet potatoes for the very first time too! No, not our sweet potatoes but Gerber's. Hey, it sure beats just Alimentum for dinner!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Just Lounging Around!

I found Hunter's lounge chair from when he was a baby and brought it out for Evan today and he loves it!!!! Check out the expression on his face, he is so proud! The chair allows him to sit straight up with the support he needs. Soon he will be sitting all by himself. He is so close already!!!

Cousin Ryan Came to Play!

Hunter had a blast with his cousin Ryan this past Friday! Auntie Erin, Uncle Marius and Ryan all came for a visit and Hunter ate it up 100%. Ryan is getting so big and looking more and more like his mommy every time I see him. Hunter even got into a sharing mood with Ryan. We are working hard on the sharing thing with Hunter. His matchbox cars are precious to him but within an hour of Ryan being at our house Hunter was bringing him cars to play with! Of course, we had to wash the ones that Ryan put in his mouth because Hunter did not like the fact that they were wet and dirty!!! Silly kid! Evan even had a good time. He got to chat with his Auntie Erin and Ryan too. Of course, Christian and I had a wonderful time too. We always enjoy getting together with them.

Fun in the Tub!!!

Hunter loves bathtime especially a bubble bath!!! He is such a ham when it comes to the camera and bathtime! My little fish is right at home in the water. One of his favorite things to do is put his entire head under the water in order to get it all covered with bubbles! Too cute! We will certainly be participating in more swim lessons this winter at the local YMCA.

Bring on the Peas!

Evan had his first real taste of solid food this past Friday!!! Peas! He was not a big fan of the green vege but by today he gobbled them right up! I still cannot believe that he is already on solids! Where has all the time really gone! Tomorrow we start carrots. Something tells me that he will like those a lot more! Peas are not very welcome in our house. I am the only one who likes them. None of my men have an appetite for them at all.
As you can see, in the first pic he is not thrilled about the peas. However, as soon as he noticed the camera he was all smiles!!!!

Big Boy Evan!!!

I had to take Evan in to the pedi this morning for a quick weight check in order to adjust his reflux meds and OMG he is already 17 pounds!!!!!! He is already in 9 month clothes too. He is growing so fast it is blowing my mind! I remember Hunter growing fast too but this time around it just seems faster! I wish I could find a way to keep him small forever. Any ideas???

Seriously????

My son, Hunter, continues to amaze me! Last night he told his Daddy that he toes hurt in his shoes so today I headed out to the shoe store with both boys. Well, the lady measured Hunter's feet and his 8 1/2 double wide shoes were just a bit too small. He is now a size 10!!!! Wow!!! He is certainly following his Daddy in that department! They both have huge feet!!! I even let Hunter pick out his own new shoes and lucky me he picked out the cheapest pair at $42. Ouch! But, at least they were not the ones priced at $76!!! So, I am hoping that these shoes will last him at least 8 months if not a year. We shall see! Next time we head to that store I will have two boys that will need shoes - that scares me!

Time Flies!

I cannot believe just how fast time seems to go now that I am older. I remember when I was a young child and just how slow time would go, it would take forever! Well, not so much anymore. My little Sweet Pea Evan is already 5 months old today. How on earth did that happen? It is so hard to believe that 5 months has passed us by already! I remember bringing him home from the hospital and the look on Hunter's face as he held him for the first time - precious! Now, Evan is rolling all over the place, army crawling, laughing, smiling, giggling and is just about ready to sit all by himself. He is also going to taste his first solid food on Friday!!! He has grown so much so fast. I wish I could keep him small for just a while longer, I am not ready to have him crawl. After crawling comes walking then talking then school and then graduation and then moving out. Yikes! I just need to hold onto to these times and cherish every day. I love my boys so very much and I am so proud of how they are growing! I just wish time would slow down just a bit.

Refreshed!

This weekend was simply perfect!!! The weather was amazing! The boys were super happy and well behaved! The husband and I had some alone time on Saturday evening! We got some Christmas shopping done and even the Christmas lights put up outside! Of course, they will not be turned on until much later but we simply could not pass up an opportunity to put them up in 64 degree weather in November in Michigan!!! We took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent most of the weekend outside and at MeeMaw's house. It was a weekend to remember, full of fun memories! One word to sum it all up, refreshed!

More Hunterese!

So, today has been a pretty good day!!! Hunter has not had any tantrums and has been relatively happy! The only major downfall was he opened the door so hard in our office that he put the doorknob through the wall. Ugggg, one more thing to repair! Oh well. Hunter had to tell his Daddy that he had zero fits all day. The way he said it made us laugh. He looked right at Christian and said "I have no tits Daddy!!!!" Of course, what he meant to say was "I had no fits Daddy!!!". Our little boy never fails to make us smile even if it has been a rotten day. A child is a gift no matter what and life is precious! My boys remind me of that each and every day.

Highchair Already?!?!?

Wow, I cannot believe that Evan is ready to start sitting in his highchair! This blows my mind! How on earth can he be 5 months old in just 6 days? Where did all the time go? My baby is growing way too fast! We are going to start solids with him very soon as soon as we get the ok from his Allergist. He had originally wanted us to wait until Evan was 6 months old to start solids but he is showing lots of signs that he is ready now. So, as soon as we get the green light then it is time to start with vegetables!!! I cannot wait to see his reaction and to post some pictures of the fun times that are right around the corner!!!

Fall Fun!!!

Hunter loves to play in the leaves outside - he has a blast!!! The bigger the pile of leaves the better! It really is quite a sight to see! I cannot wait for both my boys to be able to run around outside and enjoy things like piles of leaves and long walks and swinging at the park. Not much longer and we will be there!!!

New Pics!!!

I just want to let everyone know that I updated our Picasa site today. There are lots of new pictures to enjoy including some from Halloween!!!
