Happy Family

We went up to Roseville yesterday afternoon to enjoy a visit with Erin, Marius and their new son Ryan. It was a great time!! Ryan is such a good baby and super cute too! I forgot just how small they start out as and then how quickly they grow. It was almost a preview of what is to come this June for us. I am so excited to meet our little guy. But, for right now, I will just enjoy seeing Ryan and spoiling him!

Random Picture Post

Hunter driving his Daddy's car. This is his new hobby. He loves to go out to the garage and get behind the wheel and drive and drive and drive! This gets kinda old quick since it is still so cold.

Hunter loves to eat ketchup with some french fries. Notice I said he enjoys ketchup and not french fries? This is because he simple sucks all the ketchup off the fries and leaves those for Trypp to enjoy! Now, if there is no ketchup involved then he eats the fries right up! Strange.

Hunter loves to ride his quad that he got from his MeeMaw and Papa for Christmas. We cannot wait for it to be warmer outside so he can ride around the block! That will be so much fun!

Adding to Christian's Hobby....

Christian still has his furniture plan store up and running (www.plancanvas.com) and he has also added an Etsy store (http://plancanvas.etsy.com). He is working hard at keeping up with both of them and they are starting to pay off. He is very proud of his work and he should be. I have no idea how he is able to come up with these plans and be as detailed as they are. It takes a talent to do what he does and he is certainly good at it! So, if you have a spare moment go and take a look at his two stores and pass the addresses on!!!

Healthy Baby Boy Faro!!

CONGRATULATIONS TOM & KELLY!!!

Our friends in Ohio welcomed their second child via C-Section on Saturday, February 21st. Both mom and baby are doing well. Landon Thomas was born at 10:12am and weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long! From his pictures I can tell that he is absolutely breath taking!! We are so happy for all of them. A special congrats is going out to Maya because she is now a BIG SISTER!!!

Toddler Tornado!

Hunter has turned into a toddler tornado and is destroying everything in his path!!! As soon as I get one room cleaned up he has torn apart another one and is giggling the entire time! Cabin fever is certainly taking its toll in a major way. The other day he decided it would be fun to empty an entire box of tissue into my toilet and then come and find me to lead me to his "uh oh" (hence the picture above). Spring needs to get here fast! We were supposed to go to Williamston to have lunch with my grandmother today to celebrate her birthday but we are under a winter storm warning and it is snowing hard. So, that is not a safe option for us. Then we were going to venture out to an open session at Downriver Gymnastics today for Hunter to burn off some energy but that won't happen because our garage door is broken and they won't be able to fix it until tomorrow because of the weather. Ugggggg.......so the toddler tornado is stuck inside the house for another day and is not happy about it at all. Poor kiddo needs to break free!!! Darn weather and garage door.

Husband Brag

I have such a wonderful husband and I just want to brag for a moment! I was having one of "those" days today and Christian made it so much better. He got home from work a tad bit early but it was what he brought that helped to brighten my day. Of course, him arriving early put a smile on my face but so did the beautiful flowers that he bought for me! He is such a sweetheart! So, there you have it, my husband brag - he is one of a kind and I love him so much for it!!!

So Proud!!!

Christian and I are so proud of Hunter!!! He has officially started potty training today! He decided it was time to start using his little potty and even wanted to try sitting on the real potty! Yay for Hunter! Of course, he is still doing this with his pants on but that will change. At least he is wanting to sit on his potty and he even knows what it is for! This is a step in the right direction! We are well aware that it is going to take some time and we are ok with that. We are shooting for him to be trained by the time his brother arrives in June. That may be wishful thinking but that is our goal. We will keep you posted. But, for now, we are so very proud of our son!!!

So tired.

I am convinced that I am never going to sleep well again! I slept for a total of 3 hours last night and it was not in a row. Hunter slept great and so did Christian but not me. I am not sure what it is that is keeping me up but come on, I need my sleep! Perhaps it is my body getting ready for the arrival of our little one or a sign of what it is going to be like once he arrives and then nobody sleeps, who knows! The only thing I really know is that I have to find a way to sleep more than 3 hours a night. This is getting old! At least Hunter is sleeping well and being relatively happy when he wakes. That is a major plus and half the battle if you ask me!

Back to White.

We are back to white. The green that was visible outside is gone. It snowed again last night. Boo Hoo. My poor tulips that started to peak their little heads up are now buried under the snow. Just when I had some hope that it might be an early spring. Oh well. It cannot be that far away, it is mid February afterall.

Snoozing and Snuggling!

How precious are these pictures? My two guys, snoozing in one picture and snuggling in the other! Christian and Prism used to take naps together all the time but it is now something rare since Hunter usually chases Prism off! Hunter loves to snuggle with his Winnie the Pooh bear. It really is a cute sight to see! I just love taking pictures like these - what memories!

What's that green stuff?

Ok, so maybe it is not exactly green but it will be soon! The snow has finally started to melt and you can actually see grass and cement! We have not see the grass in months so this is big! The temps are supposed to hit 60 today - that is a record for us! Hunter and I will certainly be outside enjoying the weather since it is supposed to be mostly sunny. Yay!!! Even if it is short lived, it is forecasted to be back in the 30s this weekend, it will help to relieve some of our cabin fever. Tomorrow it is going to be in the upper 50s but with thunderstorms so it will most likely be and indoor day but still rain is so much better than snow. I can at least open some windows and let in some fresh air. Woo Hoo!!!

Wow - February 8th is a SPECIAL day!!!

Hunter now shares his birthday not only with my cousin Lucas but also with baby Ryan! My cousin Erin went into labor just shy of 35 weeks and delivered her first son this afternoon!!! Ryan was born at 2:04pm on Febraury 8th and weighed in at 5 lbs 3 1/2 oz and was 19 inches long! Both mom and baby are doing great! They are keeping a close eye on the little guy's lungs since he was 5 1/2 weeks premature but other than that he sounds perfect! We cannot wait to go and see the newest addition to our large family and his proud parents!

CONGRATULATIONS ERIN AND MARIUS!!! We could not be any happier for you and your family!

Not a baby anymore.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY HUNTER!!!

I cannot believe that my little baby is two years old today! I can't call him a baby anymore, he is a big boy now! It is just so hard to believe that is has been two years already and that he will be a big brother in June! What an exciting time for him and us!

We had a great time at Hunter's birthday party yesterday and he did too! It was a blast! Everyone that was able to make it had fun too! The kids loved playing at Funtastic and they even all sat down for a group picture! This completely amazed me - how on earth did a bunch of toddlers sit still for pictures without any crying or protesting? I will still never understand! I guess they are all growing up right before our eyes! Hunter also loved his pizza party and Thomas cake that Funtastic provided for everyone too! He sat at the table with the other 15 kids just like a big boy and never got out of his chair once. That amazed me too! He loved being sang to and blowing out his candles. In fact he enjoyed blowing out his candles so much that he did it about 6 times before the "Happy Birthday" song was over! It was really cute! After pizza and cake the kids got some more play time and the adults were able to relax and talk. That was wonderful too! At the end the kids all got a balloon with a goodie bag and we took Hunter's presents home to open later. This way the kids all got as much play time as possible instead of watching Hunter open all his presents. This made everyone happy. After the party MeeMaw, Papa, Aunt Erin, Uncle Marius, Aunt Mel, Uncle Chris, Caleb and Michael all came back to our house to continue to celebrate. Some watched the remainder of the Red Wing's hockey game and the rest of us were able to talk while the three kids all played. By the time everyone left Hunter was tuckered out big time! He had some dinner and then we opened his presents and he was in heaven with all the matchbox cars he got! He got about 2 dozen or so. I will have lots of cars to pick up each and every day now. He also got lots of other cool new toys and he is currently playing with them out in the great room and I know this because I can hear Thomas' whistle blowing right now! Overall, Hunter had a great birthday celebration yesterday and we are going to have a wonderful birthday with him today! We are planning on taking him up to see his MeeMaw and Papa after his nap to have dinner and some more cake and to play with some new toys! What a great birthday weekend for our little man!!!

We want to thank everyone who made this weekend extra special for us and Hunter! We love you all and are happy to call you family and friends!

No News Is Good News!

I am just shy of 21 weeks along and we had another routine OB visit today. Small Fry is doing wonderful! He is head down today as opposed to breech this past Monday. He may turn several times yet before he decides to stay in his current position. That is ok. We have lots of time left. I am doing well too. I have only gained 7 pounds overall this pregnancy. That is less than where I was at with Hunter at this point in the game. Dr. Lutsic is not concerned so neither am I. All my routine tests that I had done at my last appt came back normal. So, there is nothing new to report. This is a completely normal and rountine pregnancy so far. That is music to my ears! We will post again about Small Fry on March 13th after our next appt.

Incredible Girl!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Katie is doing amazing!!! She's taking amazing care of Hunter, Small Fry, and myself. Tonight, we had a special treat - her homemade mashed potatoes, along with a Teriaki pork roast. She "whipped" this all up just because. Well, got to tell you, we are very lucky to have her, and for her to know how much we love her!!!

Thank you so much sweetie!

We love you!!!

4 More Days!!!

I simply cannot believe that in 4 more days my little boy will be TWO!!! Where on earth did all that time go? It feels like he was just born yesterday and it has been almost two years! WOW! We will be celebrating his big day the day before on the 7th at one of his favorite places to play - Funtastic. We are really looking forward to it! I will certainly post pics once the party is over and we have had a chance to upload them to the computer.

100% Boy!!!

We had our big anatomy scan today and everything looks great with Small Fry! He is certainly a boy and very proud of it! The ultrasound tech kept saying that he is a very photogenic little one. She got lots and lots of great pictures and she did not want to stop taking them because he was being so cooperative. He has all the necessary parts and they are all functioning well. He is 13 oz and measuring right on target. He is breech right now but has lots of time and room to move. Hunter was breech up until 10 days before he was born. It is almost scary looking at these pictures of Small Fry because they look practically identical to Hunter when he was in utero. So, I think it is safe to say this little boy will look a lot like his Daddy - lucky kid! I am so happy and proud to say that come June I will be the mother of two gorgeous boys!!!

Noble Kay

Hunter is now the proud owner of his own star!!! We were able to do this because of a stuffed horse he got for his birthday. The horse came with a star and we were able to pick out the star and name it whatever we wanted. His star is named Noble Kay, after a horse his Grandfather Tim had as a child. The star is in the constellation Pegasus. I really think this is cool and Hunter will one day when he is older too.
