Just Lounging Around!

I found Hunter's lounge chair from when he was a baby and brought it out for Evan today and he loves it!!!! Check out the expression on his face, he is so proud! The chair allows him to sit straight up with the support he needs. Soon he will be sitting all by himself. He is so close already!!!

Cousin Ryan Came to Play!

Hunter had a blast with his cousin Ryan this past Friday! Auntie Erin, Uncle Marius and Ryan all came for a visit and Hunter ate it up 100%. Ryan is getting so big and looking more and more like his mommy every time I see him. Hunter even got into a sharing mood with Ryan. We are working hard on the sharing thing with Hunter. His matchbox cars are precious to him but within an hour of Ryan being at our house Hunter was bringing him cars to play with! Of course, we had to wash the ones that Ryan put in his mouth because Hunter did not like the fact that they were wet and dirty!!! Silly kid! Evan even had a good time. He got to chat with his Auntie Erin and Ryan too. Of course, Christian and I had a wonderful time too. We always enjoy getting together with them.

Fun in the Tub!!!

Hunter loves bathtime especially a bubble bath!!! He is such a ham when it comes to the camera and bathtime! My little fish is right at home in the water. One of his favorite things to do is put his entire head under the water in order to get it all covered with bubbles! Too cute! We will certainly be participating in more swim lessons this winter at the local YMCA.

Bring on the Peas!

Evan had his first real taste of solid food this past Friday!!! Peas! He was not a big fan of the green vege but by today he gobbled them right up! I still cannot believe that he is already on solids! Where has all the time really gone! Tomorrow we start carrots. Something tells me that he will like those a lot more! Peas are not very welcome in our house. I am the only one who likes them. None of my men have an appetite for them at all.
As you can see, in the first pic he is not thrilled about the peas. However, as soon as he noticed the camera he was all smiles!!!!

Big Boy Evan!!!

I had to take Evan in to the pedi this morning for a quick weight check in order to adjust his reflux meds and OMG he is already 17 pounds!!!!!! He is already in 9 month clothes too. He is growing so fast it is blowing my mind! I remember Hunter growing fast too but this time around it just seems faster! I wish I could find a way to keep him small forever. Any ideas???

Seriously????

My son, Hunter, continues to amaze me! Last night he told his Daddy that he toes hurt in his shoes so today I headed out to the shoe store with both boys. Well, the lady measured Hunter's feet and his 8 1/2 double wide shoes were just a bit too small. He is now a size 10!!!! Wow!!! He is certainly following his Daddy in that department! They both have huge feet!!! I even let Hunter pick out his own new shoes and lucky me he picked out the cheapest pair at $42. Ouch! But, at least they were not the ones priced at $76!!! So, I am hoping that these shoes will last him at least 8 months if not a year. We shall see! Next time we head to that store I will have two boys that will need shoes - that scares me!

Time Flies!

I cannot believe just how fast time seems to go now that I am older. I remember when I was a young child and just how slow time would go, it would take forever! Well, not so much anymore. My little Sweet Pea Evan is already 5 months old today. How on earth did that happen? It is so hard to believe that 5 months has passed us by already! I remember bringing him home from the hospital and the look on Hunter's face as he held him for the first time - precious! Now, Evan is rolling all over the place, army crawling, laughing, smiling, giggling and is just about ready to sit all by himself. He is also going to taste his first solid food on Friday!!! He has grown so much so fast. I wish I could keep him small for just a while longer, I am not ready to have him crawl. After crawling comes walking then talking then school and then graduation and then moving out. Yikes! I just need to hold onto to these times and cherish every day. I love my boys so very much and I am so proud of how they are growing! I just wish time would slow down just a bit.
